Description[]

Vengeance at first look seems quite impressive, adding lots of damage. It suffers from a major drawback however, and that is its mana cost. 4 mane per strike is too much for a lvl 18 character to handle without using lots of potions, and 8 per strike at lvl 20 drains even high-level character unless equipped with sufficient amounts of mana steal.

It can be quite a powerful skill however, especially when coupled with Conviction. Paladins using this skill are called Vindicators. The ability to inflict four types of damage with only one attack makes this skill perfect in Hell where every monster has at least one immunity, and makes a Paladin using this skill capable of killing every monster in the game short of the special Pit Lords in Chaos Tristram.

Lore[]

When a Paladin undertakes a crusade to banish evil, he is permitted to call upon the just souls of past crusades. Thus summoned, the spirits of the honorably vanquished manifest themselves and lend their energies to the weapons of the Paladin. [1]
