Make monsters in range, or the targeted monster, melee attack you, and decreases their defense and damage. Putting more skill points into it reduces the defense further.
The skill shares many similarities with taunt skills found in other games, and can serve the function of letting the Barbarian take the damage while other players remain safe from damage. Since it forces the monster to melee attack, it is also usefull to draw in casters, and to prevent spell-casting in case of low resists. Most builds usually have survivability built into them however, since all classes have to deal with monsters attacking them when they play alone, and so this skill isn't as useful at would appear to be at first glance.
Lore[]
Pinpointing an opponent's physical weakness is not the only talent a warrior of the steppes possesses. He can often ascertain what emotions might push a foe into a fight, against his better judgement. A Barbarian taunts an opponent into a blind rage hoping to capitalize on the mistake he may make while so angered. It is this ability that causes Barbarian's to have a poor reputation as drinking partners.[1]
