Nova looks just like Lightning, but instead of going out in a straight line it expands in a circle. It can be effective if surrounded, but Chain Lightning will often be a better choice.

Damage Calculations

Real Damage: Rec(slvl, (Itt(5, Rnd[6]) + clvl + 5)/2)
Min. Damage: 5*Rec(slvl, 2 + [clvl/2])
Max. Damage: 5*Rec(slvl, 15 + [clvl/2])
Quick Min. Damage: 5*(2 + clvl/2) * (9/8)^slvl
Quick Max. Damage: 5*(15 + clvl/2) * (9/8)^slvl

* The added damage from each character level is then multiplied by the spell level bonus, resulting in a much greater bonus the higher the spell level.
