Holy Lightning is the last of the three elemental damage auras. It is relatively high in the skill tree, and because of this has the greatest damage potential of the three auras. It lasts a little while longer than the other two auras, but eventually it too loses it's power in comparison to monster hp, unless boosted severely by + skills.

One specific Paladin build called the Auradin utilizes this and/or Holy Fire to kill monsters, however they use rune words to boost the level of these skills well past 20. If properly built, an Auradin can be very powerful.


A Paladin blessed with the power of this aura calls upon the power of the Light to strike forth at all enemies surrounding him. Divine bolts spring from the earth to smite the Paladin's enemies.[1]
