Were you looking for the quest, the Den of Evil?

The Den of Evil is a cave located in the Blood Moor in Diablo II. It is the optional side-area which is involved in the first quest of the game.

The most notable member of the cave is probably the first Super Unique met by the player: Corpsefire. He is accompanied by his minions who are also tougher than regular zombies in the area.

Quest

In the Den of Evil quest, Akara asks you to kill all the monsters inside the Den, which she believes are massing for an attack against the Rogue Encampment.

When you complete the quest Akara awards you with an extra Skill Point. For this reason, the quest is always completed by players, as it is one of the few optional quests in the game that offers a substantial reward.

In addition, once you have completed the quest, the Den of Evil will no longer be named as such. Instead, it will simply be called Cave. This is not to be confused with the dungeon in the Cold Plains which are also called the Cave.
