Killing the dragon gives you essentially an unlimited Chaos Reroll recipe for 30 seconds. (This cannot reroll items to Sacred Uniques)

There are 3 types of challenges in Median XL. The first type which are called level challenges often have a max level limit to them. These are usually done on the Hatred or Terror difficulties. The second type of challenges are used to unlock your Ennead and Black Road uber skills. The Ennead challenge is best done in the Hatred difficulty and the Black Road is best done in the Terror Difficulty when you have reached level 120. Minigames are the last type of challenge you will encounter.
Level Challenge 1[]
This challenge is broken up into 3 parts all which are done in the Hatred difficulty. To do this challenge you need to go to the Tran Athulua uberlevel and find the three priestesses and kill them each to drop their Sunstone. Each priestess has their own Sunstone which they drop. There is no experience gain in this level so you can try over and over again.
Philios, Priestess of Hefaetrus drops the Sunstone of Fire. If you are below level 70, cube the sunstone with a town portal scroll and a identify scroll to unlock more bonuses.
This adds All Resists +20% to the Sunstone of Fire
Skovos, Priestess of Karcheus drops the Sunstone of Ice. If you are below level 60, cube the sunstone with a town portal scroll and a identify scroll to unlock more bonuses.
This adds +2 to All Skills to the Sunstone of Ice
Lycander, Priestess of Zerae drops the Sunstone of Thunder. If you are below level 50, cube the sunstone with a town portal scroll and a identify scroll to unlock more bonuses.
This adds 20% Increased Attack Speed, 20% Faster Cast Rate, 20% Faster Hit Recovery, 20% Faster Block Rate, 20% Faster Run/Walk, 15% Bonus to all Attributes to the Sunstone of Thunder

Ennead Challenge[]
First before attempting this challenge, you need to be under level 80. This challenge then requires you to go to act 3 and into the Uber level Kurast 3000 BA (where the spider caves used to be) and kill one of the Ennead Necromancers so it will drop a random class charm. If killing the necromancers does not produce your class charm then you need to restart the uber level. In this level there are many skeleton archers, skeleton mages, and skeleton fighters. They are all protected by Aura producing totems which are littered across the map. To kill the skeletons, you first need to destroy the totems. The easiest path for obtaining your class charm consists of going through the top right to reach the first necromancer there. The totems also produce more skeletons over time so if you wait too long you will be overwhelmed.
This challenge is one of the hardest ones in the game. It is broken down into 5 separate parts or trials. Once you finish one trial, cube the charm by itself. Sometimes there will be 30 second time limits to when you can cube the charm once you completed the trial. If its done correctly, the charm should now say that the current trial is completed. Else, you need to redo the trial.
Trial of Fear
To complete this challenge, you need to go to the Hole level 2 in act 1 and summon the Butcher in the Terror difficulty.
Trial of Greed
To complete this challenge, you need to have 666,666 gold or more in your pockets (not in stash).
Trial of Contrition
To complete this challenge, you need to go to the Mount Arreat in act 5 and summon the King Koth in the Terror difficulty.
Trial of Knowledge
To complete this challenge, you need to go to the Fautztinville (stony tomb level 2) in act 2 and find the five robot brains from each mini boss there in the Terror difficulty. The level before this uberlevel is also a heroic level where Quov Tsin, a heroic boss, has a random chance of appearing in there.
Trial of Blood
To complete this challenge, you need to go to Tran Athulua and kill Skovos, Priestess of Karcheus, and Lycander, Priestess of Zerae. This has to be done under 30 seconds in the Terror difficulty. This means once you kill one of them you have 30 seconds to kill the other and cube your charm.
Wrapping it all up
Once you got all 5 trials done go back to town and buy four Victim's Heart and cube them with the charm. With this done you will unlock your black road uberskill

Minigame 1 "Witch Queen"[]
All you need to do is slay the countess or at least one of her minions.
Cube your class charm with an Eth rune while the overlay is on you to receive a bonus.
Use a summon to lure the witches out of your way to get to the Countess.
If you don't have a summon, you can buy a +1 to Daystar mystic orb and cube it with your ring/amulet.

Minigame 2 "Crowned"[]
Find a witch anywhere on Terror difficulty, except in the Countess tower. Witches like to hang around act 1 areas such as Tamoe Highland, but you will almost never not find one not far out in the Rocky Waste. Summon a minion next to her and if they get the star effect, have the witch pounce on something then run up to her, and cube your charm.
This only works on 15% of the witches - if you see no stars, make a town portal and re-roll the witch, should not take more then 10 tries.
Do the Baal fight on Terror or Destruction difficulty and instead of killing Baal, kill his Shardspawn minions. Each kill brings a 1% chance to gain the whirly overlay, so you may have to let him summon a few. Cube your class charm with a Lem rune while the overlay is on you to receive a bonus.
